This weekend I ran my first long run for the Lost Dutchman marathon. Miles 1-9 were lovely taking me over Williamsburg bridge then Manhattan bridge. Even though it was quite foggy the views were great. Miles 9-13 were a bit painful but such is marathon training.
Plus, I discovered 1 benefit of training in the winter -> later Saturday runs. Since I don’t have to worry about avoiding the hot summer sun, I can sleep in and run after noon 🙂
